Something Different...

This year's Lunar New Year I did something different. I would usually stay at home to wait for the few relatives who will visit us. Way before New Year, a group of guys had already told me their plans to watch a movie on this day. They messaged me again in the morning to confirm it. I was half-hearted as the guy, KJ, whom I am closer to had returned to China for New Year. ZZP couldn't make it as he had spent the night before at his friend's house with some guys and girls! To prove to KJ that I do not turn up for their outings only because ZZP is around, I went with his friends. It turned out that only two of them could make it, I asked a female 'friend' along in case I feel lonely as KJ wasn't there to accompany me. We went to watch a movie then played some games at the arcade. I love that arcade as it is not crowded. Then we walked past a 抓娃娃机, one of the guys, HC saw a Minnie Mouse soft toy and he could not resist the challenge! He spent about $20 to catch that toy! My friend asked me why he was so 执著, I answered maybe he wanted it for his rumoured girlfriend or he very 好强. When the Minnie Mouse fell into the slot, he took it out and celebrated for a while then he passed the Minnie Mouse to....ME!!! I was pleasantly surprised, the Minnie Mouse was cute and it is the Rat year so it is very meaningful! I Love it! After dinner, we tried our luck at the esplanade to see whether we could catch the fireworks. We asked the policeman on duty and he gave us all the details! So kind of him! The fireworks would be at 9.30pm and along the bridge. The guys suggested walking to the Merlion side to view it. We sat on the steps next to the Merlion for an hour, blessed by the water spouting from its mouth once a while. At about 9.30pm, HC suggested walking to a better spot to catch the fireworks and he did made the right choice, it was a good spot! The fireworks were beautiful! My friend and I could appreciate it better. Then we walked back to Marina Square for another movie. Was so tired already, I almost slept through it. Reached home at around 3am. I messaged HC to thank him for the Minnie Mouse and said that I will treasure it. He replied 不用谢啦...送给美女**... 是值得的! So kind and sweet of him to say that! Anyway it was the right decision to go out that day. It was a good change and I had a great time!

扰乱我的思绪

My second attempt in asking ZZP out on a single date and he finally agreed! Asked him once before but he rejected me and his excuse was that he is shy! Shy?! It is never a vocabulary to describe him lor, what a lame excuse. I complained to one of my female 'friend' and she said I don't have enough 魅力. Sigh, maybe she was right.

But then when school re-opened, he sort of hinted that he doesn't mind going out with me alone so I plucked up my courage to ask him again and he said okay! We went after school, he went home to change first. He took a long time to get ready and I could understand that because I know he likes to doll himself up, as in he must make he looks good before stepping out from his house. Even in school, his hair is so long and stylish and was warned by the discipline mistress millions of time to get it cut. But he looks so good in that hairstyle and just like him, I pity having it cut.

When I finally met him, I was speechless! He either looked very jap very 视觉系 or like a 少女系男孩！Haha! He drew eyeliner on his lower eyelids, that wasn't surprising to me as he had told me that before. He wore a singlet, a very jap jeans, a pair of sneakers and he carried a short bag. With his nice hairstyle, slim and tall built, he was outstanding! We went to Bugis and he showed me his favourite shop where he usually shops for his pants. He saw a pair of boots he like and after trying it, he bought it and wore it straight away! With that new pair of boots, he was even more conspicuous! He also brought me to the shop where he buys his tops from. The auntie in the shop recognised him instantly. As the shop was small and crowded, we waited outside for a while. When the auntie finally got a chance to speak to him, she asked him if I was his sister! We laughed and he said yes. Haha! When he went in to try a top, the auntie took the opportunity to scrutinise me and to confirm her suspicion, I think. She asked me if I was his sister, I said no, we are just friends. Then when he was paying for the top, the shop was crowded again so I stepped aside but I could hear the auntie telling him that she was going to tell his mum that he brought his girlfriend to her shop! Gosh! He quickly answered 她又不是我的女朋友. Haha!

Anyway throughout the whole outing, I caught alot of people looking at him, regardless of girls and teenage boys. Walking next to him is very stressful because I am not trendy like him and I also hate having people eyeing me. We took 大头贴 and it was the worst one I have ever taken. Haha! Whatever it is, I got to know him even better after this trip and I am not sure if I will ever go out with him on single dates again, couldn't stand the stress.
